Wedding photography at Michelham Priory House & Gardens
“Pippa was the photographer for our wedding and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish! A lovely, calm, helpful presence the whole time which is what you need on your wedding day. The photos were beyond stunning – natural, colourful and we couldn’t ask for more. All of our guests absolutely love our photos and have commented on Pippa’s skill. As well as our wedding, we loved our pre-wedding shoot as it allowed us to practise having our photo taken and to get to know Pippa better. I would recommend Pippa to anyone and wish there were more excuses to have photos taken by her!”
My new favourite place to shoot! Run by the wonderful team at Blue Door Weddings, this stunning wedding venue is an ideal, year-round place to tie the knot. This historic Tudor mansion is set in seven acres of grounds surrounded by a medieval gatehouse and moat. With an Elizabethan barn attached it’s perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. And wedding photography at Michelham Priory House & Gardens won’t disappoint!
Barn
The barn has a spectacular vaulted, beamed ceiling filled with fairy lights, and a bar. There’s both a courtyard garden at the front and private walled garden at the back. The extensive grounds on the estate include a kitchen, herb garden, orchard, formal and informal lawns.
Spring wedding
Anna and Phil chose April 1st to get married and they were blessed with a sunny day. Guests were able to make the most of the grounds and gardens for photos and drinks. With a capacity of over 100 guests, Michelham Priory has a wedding licence for civil ceremonies allowing couples to choose from a range of locations. There’s the Priory Chamber, in the Tudor house itself, the Elizabethan Great Barn or even on the lawns.
I loved the character this venue brought to their day. It was an occasion they wanted to be as relaxed as possible with the photography telling the story from their day. Congratulations Anna and Phil! For more Sussex inspiration see here.
