Sunset pre wedding shoot in Brighton

Rachel and Marcus contacted me a few weeks ago about a sunset pre wedding shoot in Brighton. They wanted a dusk shoot and despite the dodgy weather we’ve had recently we miraculously chose an evening that hit the spot. Which was just as well as Rachel was flying back to Hong Kong the next day!

This lovely couple met at University and have lived and worked in Hong Kong ever since. Both are teachers and wanted to get married back here in Brighton where Marcus grew up. They’re opting for a winter December wedding at the town hall which sadly I can’t photograph as I will be on the other side of the world for Christmas!

Brighton walkabout

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to photograph in this awesome city. Having met late in the day we were chasing the light around and began the shoot in the beautiful and regal Brunswick Square gardens in Hove. We then moved onto the seafront and down to the beach for some cracking golden hour shots. Both were particularly nervous about the shoot but here’s what they had to say afterwards: “We are sooooo happy to see those fantastic photos. You are such a wonderful photographer thank you so much!”

Brighton weddings

Brighton isn’t only a great place to have a pre wedding shoot but also to get married. There are stacks of places to tie the knot, most notably, the town hall, the Royal Pavilion, Hotel du Vin and the bandstand for really central venues.
