Stanmer House wedding photography

Christy and Sai Kit recently moved from Hong Kong to the UK. They have decided to have an English wedding and a wedding over the Hong Kong later in the year. It was great to be involved in part one of this gorgeous day. For those looking to get married close to Brighton then see below for some Stanmer House wedding photography. This is a great place to tie the knot!

Early morning rituals

In a Chinese wedding, the tea ceremony is a significant tradition where the newlyweds show respect and gratitude to their parents and elders by serving them tea. In return they receive blessings and gifts. The ceremony symbolises the merging of two families and the couple kneel to serve their parents who are seated in chairs. After the tea is served, the elders offer blessings and gifts, such as red envelopes with money. It was a privilege to witness this ceremony, and both Christy and Sai warmly welcomed me into their family for the day. This is what I love about my job!

Stanmer House

This stunning 18th-century manor is surrounded by picturesque gardens and woodlands and lends itself to some stunning wedding photography. Stanmer House is perfect for a small, intimate gathering or a even a grand celebration. The rooms are tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained and offer the perfect blend of history and modern. What also sets Stanmer House apart is its stunning gardens and woodland surroundings. Both weddings I’ve photographed here have been indoors due to the time of year but you can exchange your vows in the gardens as well. Stanmer House offers the perfect countryside grand venue in beautiful surroundings and only a stones throw from Brighton and Hove city. A perfect choice!
