Southover Grange wedding in Lewes
Another great opportunity to photograph a Southover Grange wedding in Lewes. I love this historic town and was delighted when Jess and Lewis booking me for a few hours to capture their special day. Lewes Register Office is located in the stunning Grade II listed Southover Grange, built in the 16th century. It’s about as stunning a registry office as you can get. While the ceremonies are held inside, afterwards you can spill out onto the Southover Grange Gardens which are also stunning.
Ceremony
There are four choices of room to get married in at Southover Grange Registry office. The Winterbourne Suite, Evelyn Room, Newton Room and the Ainsworth Room. The photos below were taken in the Ainsworth Room which have lovely views out onto Southover Grange gardens. Jess and Lewis were joined by close friends and family for their ceremony. It was a heartfelt ceremony full of smiles and laughter.
Photos in the gardens
Despite the humungous deluge of rain earlier in the day we were really lucky to even be able to stand outside! We gathered in the beautiful Southover Grange gardens for some group shots and a short relaxed walk around with the couple. Lewes is a gorgeous historic town and we ventured onto Keele street for a few pics before Jess and Lewis headed off to Hotel du Vin for their slap up Brighton meal.
