Rural sussex wedding South Downs

Living in the South East, there’s something very special about a Sussex wedding. You can’t beat the combination of the South Downs and the city for the best of both worlds. And for Rhiain and Ben it was extra special as they were coming back to their roots having moved to New Zealand. It was touch and go for Rhiain who was struck down with covid a week before her wedding day. This meant being holed up in her parents house in a bedroom unable to see anyone. But her outgoing and calm attitude got her through with the final plans and touches all be handled by FaceTime and what’s app. Total star!

south downs

This is where the true rural Sussex wedding feel came into play. Rhiain and Ben wanted to capture that quintessential Sussex landscape. We choose to head to the Jack and Jill windmills near Clayton. The old disused windmill provided a great backdrop for some group shots while the well trodded Downs paths were perfect for the couple shots.

Afternoon brighton reception

This fab couple wanted to end their day bringing in a bit of the Brighton city vibe. What better location than right on the sea front at The Brighton Beach Club. Guests enjoyed drinks out on the veranda with uninterrupted views of the sea. The tables were decorated with stunning flowers and of course the New Zealand theme running throughout. Travel is at the heart of this couple. They met abroad and now live abroad with a fab outdoor lifestyle. My kind of people!
