Lewes Southover Grange wedding photography

If you’re looking to get married in a town hall in Sussex, Southover Grange in Lewes should be high on your list. Home to Lewes Register Office, the beautiful Grange is a 16th-century manor house set within the picturesque gardens. This Grade II listed building is full of history, character, and charm. It can be just the two of you or the biggest room can accommodate up to 58 guests.

Chelsey and James tied the knot in the Ainsworth Room which is full of character and overlooks the gardens. After your ceremony you are guided through to the gardens where you have group photos (no confetti allowed fyi).

Lewes walkabout

Lewes is such a great town to enjoy some couple photos and you don’t have to walk far to get a good variety. Southover Grange gardens is your first stop before heading off to Lewes Priory and the stunning Lewes Crescent. Back towards the town you can head up the cobbled Keere Street, again easily one of the most picturesque streets in Lewes with views of the Downs at the top.

2026 is the year couples are heading to the authentic Italian restaurant Squisito in the Old Needlemakers. Bags of character and great cocktails and food, it’s the perfect place to end up after your ceremony.
