Islington Town Hall wedding

For a chic city venue to tie the knot in London look no further than Islington Town Hall on the fashionable Upper Street. Inside there is a sweeping marble staircase and a gorgeous corridor outside the main ceremony room for additional photos. It can accommodate up to 60 guests (Richmond Suite) and the Canonbury Suite is set up for just two guests. Jack and Ross chose this fantastic venue for their wedding. They didn’t stop smiling from the moment I met them on the steps of the town hall on a sunny London day. They chose their closest friends and family – some hailing from Ross’s Scottish heritage – to join them in the Richmond Suite. It was an emotional ceremony and one that set the tone for the whole day. Happiness mixed with genuine emotion.

The Royal Inn on the Park

This pub is a brilliant place to have your wedding reception. The super friendly managers Catherine and Malcolm go above and beyond to make their wedding couple and guests feel welcome. The typical London pub has bags of character and boasts an outdoor space with festoon lighting which overlooks Victoria Park, or Vicky Park as it’s known to locals. Random fact: it’s Britain’s oldest public park opened in 1845 for the benefit of the East End working class. Vicky Park is the ideal place to go and have couple portraits. Trees, expansive space, water and calmness – the perfect antidote to your London wedding.

Speeches and dancing

Both Jack and Ross delivered very emotional speeches which had most people in tears. This was a long awaited wedding after covid and the celebration was an honour and privilege to be a part of. They danced into the night at the pub surrounded by their loved ones. A truly great London wedding.
