Hackney Town Hall wedding
“From the moment I met Pippa, I knew I wanted her to be our wedding photographer. I’d already seen the wonderful work on her website, but her calm and open manner, her warmth and sincerity, and her obvious joy in her craft was remarkable.
Her ability to become one of the family and part of the day was extraordinary. She had the perfect balance of having a fantastic rapport and conversation with our guests whilst also managing to make herself ‘invisible’, so those who may not be too keen on the camera were totally relaxed and unaware of her presence. And the results speak for themselves. Our day was full of love, warmth, joy, happy tears and overall euphoria. Pippa captured all of that effortlessly and I am so happy she was part of our day.”
This was one to remember! A Hackney Town Hall wedding – well an East London wedding with two other fab venues included in the day – with the loveliest people. This one touched my heart and Ellie and Ben brought laughter, tears, love and so much happiness to this very special occasion.
If you’re looking for somewhere amazing to stay while getting married in Hackney, look no further than the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. The award-winning hotel combines architectural splendour with amazing rooms and suites. Ellie and her bridal party got ready here in the morning but we revisited in the afternoon to do some couple photos around the amazing staircases and reception area. Not to be missed!
For a full run down of the rooms you can get married at Hackney Town Hall follow this link. Ellie and Ben exchanged their rings and vows in the Lanchester Suite with 25 of their closest friends and family. Bespoke readings, personal vows and a lot of happy tears made this a memorable ceremony. We were all treated to a Bolivian trio playing music outside the town hall (a nod to Ben’s Bolivian heritage) before we all hopped on the number 55 bus to Italian Restaurant Per Ombre.
Evening reception
After a long and relaxing lunch with their nearest and dearest, and a few very heartfelt and moving speeches, it was time to move onto the party with over 100 of Ellie and Ben’s friends. Keeping it all within London’s vibrant East End, they booked out the independent Great Beyond Brewery. An amazing cavan with tonnes of atmosphere to host this wedding party. And of course, some top craft beer.
This day was so much fun with two authentic souls who have amazing friends and family around them. As always, an honour to be invited into people’s lives for the day, and this was no exception.
