Brighton wedding photography

“We were so happy to have chosen Pippa to photograph our wedding! My husband(!) is an amateur photographer and so was tasked with this aspect of our wedding. Having looked at many wedding photographers online, he chose Pippa because of her relaxed style, candid shots and natural editing. Ours was a very intimate affair, just the two of us and our son (son and Pippa were our witnesses). Pippa was just lovely. Friendly, warm and unobtrusive – perfect. We are delighted with the finished results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

This wedding was an absolute joy to be a part of. I love small weddings and this one was no exception. Perfect and intimate with just the bride, groom and their son, Elaine and Gary showed how wonderful a simple wedding can be. To be a Brighton wedding photographer means I get to witness these special ceremonies – and in this case actually be a witness in every sense of the word!

Floral room

There are many different rooms to choose from when getting married at Brighton town hall and for the very small groups there is the perfectly sized Floral room. It seats four but for this wedding we had only the couple and their gorgeous son Beau. The room has a stunning large ornate mirror and the signature gold plated framed paintings you see throughout this historic building. Following the ceremony we had access to the beautiful staircase in the town hall before heading outside for confetti.

The Ivy

Before heading off to The Ivy for lunch, we stopped by the infamous Cricketers Pub. This is where Elaine and Gary had their first date so it was only apt to taking a photo of them walking out of the pub as man and wife. We then headed to the brilliantly fun and stunningly decorated Ivy restaurant in Brighton’s South Lanes. I loved the spontaneous and unannounced twirls Elaine would do along the way and particularly loved the story behind her dress. Bought from a charity shop in Brighton, she joins a list of brides who buy and take back their dresses to the charity. I LOVE this idea.

Congratulations to this lovely couple. It was great to spend a few hours with them. Head here for more Brighton inspo. I live four miles from the town hall and just love cycling in on my bike to shoot these Brighton weddings.
