Wedding photography at Cooling Castle Barn

This was a fantastic wedding to shoot. It had style and charm. It had a classy yet chilled vibe. Yup, wedding photography at Cooling Castle Barn is always going to be a great gig. And from the moment James and Robert got in touch I knew it was going to be a top day. Their relaxed, fun and lively outlook on life and their wedding day was a winning combination.

Cooling castle barn

Cooling Castle Barn is the perfect wedding barn for those wanting to put their own stamp on their day. It is family owned and run which gives it an immediate personal feel and they are happy for you to create the style of wedding you want. There is bags of charm and character and numerous opportunities for some great portrait shots around the grounds. The beautiful neutral rustic rooms allow you to make it your own and there is also a stunning getting-ready room and suite. The beautifully lit ceremony room, entrance staircase and picturesque countryside views make this a very popular wedding venue.

Morning prep

It’s always refreshing when wedding days carry a slightly different way of doing things. Having both grooms getting ready in the same space with their closest friends and family was just brilliant fun. The party started right away! James and Robert were sophistication personified with their black tie theme. It was a privilege to witness the closeness within this family and friendship group, and the love in the room was palpable.

Ceremony and reception

As I expected, this was a very touching, happy and intimate ceremony between James and Robert and their guests. The ceremony room was beautifully lit and despite the enormity of the occasion, there was a wonderful relaxed vibe. They exchanged beautiful vows with rings and meaningful readings before getting stuck into their reception drinks.

Group and couple shots

I knew this was going to be a fun set of group and couple shots to photograph. When everyone is up for it it makes SUCH a difference! And with stunning grounds to boot with plenty of nooks and crannies for pics, what more could a wedding photographer need?! Cooling Castle Barn enables a lot of creativity for us photographers.

Reception and evening partying

These guys really knew how to party and it was pure joy watching them dancing away with their friends and family. I loved being a part of their celebrations so thank you James and Robert for booking me to record your special day.
