Why Grittenham Barn
Grittenham Barn is a traditional stone Sussex barn with breathtaking views over the South Downs. The Barn has been immaculately restored and there is a stunning central fireplace. Grittenham is located in the heart of the West Sussex countryside between Petworth and Midhurst. The site predates the 17th Century and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The barn, farmhouse and outbuildings are all Grade II listed and the beautiful property is set in stunning gardens with a lake, orchard and woodland, making it the perfect backdrop to your wedding photographs. Grittenham Barn even has its two resident donkeys which are always a hit with the guests.
It’s all in the details
Each wedding I have shot here seems to attract folk who love all the small details. This venue perfectly suits homemade bunting, elegant vintage crockery and traditional ice cream vans. Grittenham Barn also offers to their wedding couple homegrown flowers to display in the barn. Simply gorgeous.
Beautiful grounds for couple portraits
Grittenham barn’s beautiful grounds lend themselves perfectly for couple portraits. You have the the stunning gardens, both wild and manicured depending on the look you want. Rustic barn backdrops also make for a great shots as well as the lake and old country gates. Spoilt for choice! It’s a also a great place for a party. Live bands, masses of outdoor space for when it gets too hot and just an all round chilled cool vibe.
