Relaxed Sussex wedding
“We spoke to a few fantastic photographers in the area and asked Pippa if she would be our wedding photographer after exchanging a few emails. Pippa was so warm and kind, and after looking through her portfolio and her gorgeous brochure she emailed over, we knew we wanted her to capture our day. Pippa understands that it’s a big thing trusting someone to capture your special moments and immortalise them in photographs, there’s no hard sell or pressure, she lets you know who she is and what she offers before you make a decision. We were so pleased that we chose Pippa; we had lots of communication beforehand and she put a lot of thought into how she would get the best shots in the best locations, even checking the weather forecast to see how this would affect the shots she would take. Pippa is passionate and takes a lot of pride in her work and it shows in the beautiful photographs she produces. She sent us a sneak peek of the photos incredibly quickly which we loved and we were extremely happy when we received the rest of them as they were beautiful. Pippa really went above and beyond for us and we would wholeheartedly recommend her if you are looking for a photographer to capture your special moments!”
Brighton Town Hall
I was delighted when Georgia and Ed chose me to shoot their wedding. I hadn’t met this couple before seeing them at Brighton Town Hall where they gathered with close family for an initiate ceremony. I knew instantly it was going to be a fun day. Their relaxed and fun manner made taking candid documentary photos easy. They were joined by their son who had the very special job of ring barer. It was genius. Never have I seen a toddler use his baby walker to present wedding rings to his parents. And he did so with aplomb and curiosity. You can’t script that! With two beautiful readings from the couple’s mothers it was the perfect small and special ceremony.
Brighton walk about
After the obligatory confetti throwing, I took Georgia and Ed on a walkabout through Brighton. It was a hot day but they were up for it all so after a short stroll through the South Lanes we heading to the gardens at Brighton Royal Pavilion. It felt like a tropical oasis on such a hot day. We are so lucky here in Brighton. After capturing the city and garden ambience we headed to the beach, just a two minute walk away from the hustle and bustle. Georgia and Ed were brilliantly fun and wanted to capture the Brighton vibe. We managed this with photos by the giant lobster, beach huts and Titanic style boat poses.
Golden hour
Georgia and Ed had booked me for a micro wedding so I didn’t cover the reception. They went off with their nearest and dearest to a family farm in Hurstpierpoint. I was lucky to go back in the evening to join them for some golden hour photos as we walked around the farm. It was the perfect end to a chilled out day with Georgia and Ed surrounded by their loved ones. The perfect relaxed Sussex wedding.
