Highley Manor Wedding Photography
I’d been looking forward all year to Georgie and Jonny’s wedding. Autumn is one of my favourite times of year and although they weren’t blessed with sunshine on their special day, it was still absolutely brilliant. Georgie and Jonny brought a calm and chilled vibe to their wedding day and their friends and family were all so friendly – and emotional! It’s one of the most favourite parts of my job to witness the closeness between family members and weddings led themselves perfectly to all the emotions.
The ceremony
This time last year a couple who got married on this date in November were able to get married outdoors. However, it was just a bit too touch and go with the rain so Georgie and Jonny opted for safety and tied the knot in the Baronial Hall. It seats up to 86 guests and has a charming rustic feel with its wooden beams, open wood fire, and beautiful bay window looking out on the grounds.
Reception drinks
The Great Hall is in the main section of Highley Manor. It’s a striking room with its sweeping staircase and beautiful exposed wood and huge stain glass window. There’s a bar room off this main space as well as the dining room for eating. From here guests enjoyed dinner in the main dining area and some fantastic speeches. Highlights included Georgie being presented with a teddy bear from her childhood which she hadn’t seen in years, and every guest having a surprise shot of vodka taped to the underside of their chair. Genius work by the best men!
Evening party
The evening celebrations were kicked off with sparklers – something we were lucky enough to do outside as the rain had been on and off all day. Georgie and Jonny hired the incredible No Limit Street Band who were so high energy and got involved in the crowd. Your perfect wedding band to get everyone going! There were some spectacular dance moves by the guests no doubt encouraged by the amazing tunes these guys were producing.
Congratulations Georgie and Jonny. It was a real pleasure to photograph your wedding!
