Tournerbury Woods

I love weddings with a different vibe. So when I was asked to photograph at Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island, complete with festival theming I said YES! Charlotte and Robin set to create a festival-style wedding, complete with wrist bands, fire pits, tents, a (surprise) camper van, and a silent disco.

Robin and Charlotte tied the knot at Tournerbury Woods. This is a stunning setting on Hayling Island, Hampshire, which created the perfect venue for their festival theme. Avid Reading festival-goers, everything was linked back to the couple’s favourite pastime. Robin has been 16 times to Reading festival! It was a brilliant touch having the guests wear festival wrist bands and all the table favours, sign posting and order of the day all as it would be printed out at a festival.

the outfits

Charlotte’s wedding dress was a beautiful lace gown. She added an element of fun with purple shoes and her evening purple converse labelled ‘bride’. The Bridesmaids wore a lilac/grey colour dress and held simple purple bouquets.

Robin and the boys all wore sneakers which added to the casual relaxed feel.

The rustic setting here at Thornerbury Woods was a beautiful backdrop for the day. You get woods here as well as estuary and boat scenery as well. What’s not to like! Thank you for asking me to be part of this relaxed and chilled wedding day at Hayling Island. Congratulations Robin and Charlotte. Wishing you many happy years together!
