West Wittering engagement shoot
Madi and James, like many wedding couples, were wondering whether a pre wedding shoot was for them. Well… I hope the photos speak for themselves. We met on a slightly chilly but glorious spring day on West Wittering beach near Chichester. It had been overcast and dreary all day but we were blessed with some end of the day golden light. And as ever, it made the shoot.
Pre wedding shoots
Over the years the popularity of these shoots has waned a little but I think there is so much value in them. Both Madi and James stated when we met how they’re not particularly comfortable with the camera (I get it, it’s why I’m behind it). Thankfully, rather than shy away from the opportunity to get used to the camera and myself, they chose to have an engagement shoot ahead of their wedding this August. When you’re booked way ahead of a couple’s wedding, it’s also really lovely to have the opportunity to touch base again and remember who you’ve booked! These short sessions give the perfect chance to chat about the wedding and about any nerves and worries for the day as well as experience what it’s like to having the camera in front of you.
Beach shoots
They have to be one of my most favourite locations for a shoot with a couple. Not only do I love a beach – but a huge sandy one is even more of a treat after the rocky pebbles of Brighton. West Wittering is utterly stunning. We are so blessed in Sussex to have this kind of scenery as well as the South Downs. And when you’re lucky enough to have golden hour it’s the icing on the cake. Madi and James are a lovely relaxed couple and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Farbridge this summer.

Can’t wait for the wedding day! x
